A Gray Wolf intently focuses on her next meal.
Wolves, contrary to what one might think from all the anti-wolf
hype now prevalent in Alaska, do not kill and feed on large mammals
exclusively. A good portion of their food, especially in the summer
months, are small mammals. Here an adult female is stalking an
Arctic Ground Squirrel on Highway Pass, in Denali National Park.
